You’re driving along, and you see a fire truck or ambulance, lights and sirens, coming up behind you. Do you know what to do? Let’s see if you’re right.

You should pull to the right and STOP!
Many people are often confused as to how they should react in an emergency like this. What you should do is safely and calmly pull your car over to the right side of the road, stop, and allow the emergency vehicle to pass.

What if I’m stopped at a red light?
Don’t panic! Check the intersection thoroughly for approaching cars. Once the intersection is clear and safe, proceed through the red light and pull over to the right as soon as possible. Remember to make sure it’’s safe before going through the red light!

In the case of an emergency every second counts, so please make a path for the safety vehicles as quickly and SAFELY as you can.
